After about 40 years at the site near 71st and Yale in Tulsa, the new owner of the building wanted an excessive amount of rent for the equipment to stay at the site, so it was removed along with a low power FM station owned and operated by a non-profit amateur radio group. The Tulsa Repeater Organization, and the Electron Benders are currently seeking a new site for all three systems. The LPFM station cannot move north of 41st street. They considered a site on the 60 story Cityplex Tower building where the 146.88 repeater is located, but the FCC would only allow them to run about 6 watts ERP at that height. 146.805 and 146.88 probably could not share the site. We will have an update on the site search when we know something.
